Dawn & Rick met in 1991 and built their lives together ... but it wasn't until last Saturday that they tied the knot in front of all of their family and friends at Rick's childhood cabin/home in Annandale, MN, overlooking the tranquil Lake John. Their wedding day was 27 years in the making, and it was worth the wait for their perfect day!
When Dawn hired me for her wedding over a year ago, she told me that she was working on a plan to surprise her husband with a 1957 Chevy Bel Air limousine to drive them to their reception at the Southbrook Golf Club (with a stop at Spill Grain Brewhouse, of course!). She and I and the masterminds at Total Transportation coordinated to make that dream come fruition - and his reaction was priceless!
We spent some time before the reception riding around the golf course for a few shots at their favorite holes. Then they entered their reception with a Grand March. Their reception was personal and intimate. It included two cakes - one was a traditional Danish cake for Dawn's heritage and the other was a classic Swedish cake for his side. They enjoyed a first dance together and ended the evening with a bubble exit!
