Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Ignacio!

Sarah & Patrick tied the knot on June 01st, 2019, at a beautiful cabin resort and restaurant in Park Rapids, MN and it was such a blessing to be a part of their special day!

I drove 3.5 hours to get to their venue and it was absolutely worth the drive (even when I was stuck behind tractors going 10 miles an hour). It was the perfect first day of June, with lots of sun, a nice breeze and a lake view that was to die for!

Sarah and her girls got dressed in the main cabin, while the guys shared a cabin room and did touch ups outside. Patrick and Sarah chose not to see each other before the wedding - isn’t that sweet!? The two met in Mexico and now they both work together (he is a doctor and she is a nurse).

They had every detail nailed down, including personalized flasks for everyone in the wedding party and robes for all the girls to get ready in. Their flowers were all handmade of wood - how cool is that! And, of course, sunglasses completed their look.

Their ceremony overlooked the lake and included speeches from a few of their friends, a unity ceremony with their parents, a unity rope that nodded to Patrick’s Filipino heritage, exchanging of rings and vows and the signing of their legal documents. They sealed their marriage with a first kiss and were cheered on as they walked back down the aisle through bubbles as husband and wife!

After the ceremony, the party began with a bang (and a shot)! We took some stunning formals by the water and around the property with the wedding party and their families.

The reception was packed full of love with all of their family and friends and delicious food! The best man, maid of honor and groom’s brother all made speeches on the couples’ behalf and then Patrick and Sarah welcomed and thanked everyone for coming.

The bride and groom shared a sweet first dance (the groom kept whispering sweet things in the brdie’s ear that made her laugh and smile and blush)! Then Sarah had a Father/Daughter dance with her father and her step-father, followed by the very emotional groom’s dance with his mom (I just love when a groom cries during this dance - it’s so touching!).

We were able to sneak out for some gorgeous sunset photos with the couple before returning to the party to watch her mom and his dad duke it out on the dance floor. What a blast!

I feel so blessed to have been a part of this day and to have captured these moments for this special couple! You can view their full gallery here —>
