Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend

Latrina & Marquis tied the knot in the stunning Diamond Hall at the Profile Event Center in Minneapolis on June 09th, 2019, and it was so gorgeous! Their theme focused on rose pink and royal blue, and it included lots of sparkle and elegance. Their diamond rings even had beautiful sapphire incorporated into them!

I have shot at this stunning venue a total of 5 times now, and each time I love it more and more. Their coordinator, Sarah, is ON POINT. She’s usually running two weddings in a single evening but she doesn’t let that keep her from executing each one with an equal amount of attention to detail, timeline and fluidity. She works well collaborating between all the vendors, waitstaff and the couple to make sure everything is running smoothly and that we all have what we need to succeed- which is SO IMPORTANT for a successful event!

I was with Latrina & Marquis from 4:00PM - 10:00PM and I got to capture all of their special moments. They chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so I split my time between their rooms where they were preparing and ran around getting details (my favorite!).

Their wedding party slow-danced to the beat down the aisle, raising laughter from the eager crowd filled with Latrina & Marquis’ loved ones. When Marquis saw Latrina for the first time of the day coming down the aisle he got emotional and couldn’t hide his approval! their ceremony consisted of written vows, a sand unity ceremony with their children, exchanging of rings, and a kiss to seal their marriage. It was beautiful and heartfelt and their joy showed on their faces as they did their walk back down the aisle together as husband and wife.

One thing I absolutely love about the Profile Event Center is its outdoor space! There is a lovely white brick wall around the side of the building and picturesque patios for the perfect formal shots. We lucked out with the weather and ended up doing all of the formals outdoors before heading back inside for the reception.

And then the party started! The Grand March was a fun flash of colors and music that the wedding party really got into and the crowd ate it up! Dinner followed the Grand March and then the best man and maid of honor maid made speeches on the couples’ behalf. Then the groom made a very heartfelt speech to his new wife that had everyone yelling “Amen!” and tearing up.

Their cake was one of the most elaborate cakes I have ever seen, it was almost a shame to see them cut it! Immediately after cutting the cake they shared their first dance, followed by a Mother/Son Dance.

I look forward to many more weddings at this incredible venue and it was truly an honor to capture this one!
