Phew! Guys, it has been a whirlwind of an August and all I can say is how grateful I am to finally be catching up on some blogging of these beautiful weddings I have been doing, starting with Emily & Michael’s fairy tale-inspired wedding at the American Swedish Institute on August 3rd!
I’m currently sitting at my favorite editing spot, Hodges Bend (a coffee/cocktail/spirit spot connected to the building I live in) and so far I have ordered both coffee (caramel latte), lunch (burger and fries) and a glass of wine - can you tell I’ve been here for SIX HOURS?! That’s how dedicated I am to showcasing this gorgeous wedding on the blog today. But don’t worry, my husband has kept me company (writing his book) the ENTIRE TIME!
This couple is the COOLEST, by the way. When we met up to talk about their timeline we all bonded over our common love of animals, travel and, of course, planning a wedding! Emily actually lived in Japan for awhile, teaching English to locals - how amazing is that?? Her friend from Japan even came all the way out for their wedding day and gave a sweet speech in English for them!
We had such a wonderful time together on their wedding day at the incredible American Swedish Institute. We had great weather up until the ceremony, which got moved indoors at the last minute, but these two didn’t let it stop them from having their perfect day!
I loved how much time we had built in for photos because we were able to go all over the incredible venue and we got so many gorgeous shots.
And, in keeping with the fairy tale castle theme of their venue, they shared their first dance to “I See the Light” from Tangled, which matched their wedding cake - so cute!!
I wish these two all the happiness in the world together.
